Sewer Relining and Man-Hole Rehab

Sewer maintenance occasionally involves relining the sewer and serves to reinforce old sewers originally built out of brick. This is undertaken with an application of shotcrete and reinforcing steel when there is a requirement to add a man-hole or to repair an existing sewer that is about to collapse.

Man-hole rehab involves sandblasting the man-hole interior and applying some type of cementitious based waterproofing and/or sealer. This is in order to prevent the water and/or gasses from entering the man-hole through cracks and crevices that have developed through wear and tear over time. Hardrock was hired for this application at a City of Toronto sewer site.
